Are we in the Last Days?

Yes!

Yes, that is the short answer. We know the Bible says in the last days Israel will be back in the land, they will be growing fruits and vegitables, the land will bloom and regrow. This has happened. They have planted millions of trees, and multitudes of flowers and other plants. They are reclaiming water from the Jordan river to use for irrigation. They are starting to plant in the desert Negev region using drip irrigation. Most scholars agree that the Bible declares that the “generation” that sees Israel back in the land will see the Tibulation (Luke 21:29-32).

What is a generation?

Many people have suggested that a generation is 40 years, and they were ready for the return of Christ in 1988. Obviously that did not happen and they said well a generation must be 70 years. They were ready for the return of Christ in 2018. Obviously that did not happen. We suggest that a generation is about 107 or 108 years. How do we get that number? In Genesis Abraham is told that his seed will return to the land in four generations. The Israelites were in Egypt for 430 years. Genesis 15:13-16 captures the promise to Abraham that they will be in a foreign land for four generations and four hundred years. That is how we calculate our generation. Obviously it is not exactly 107 or 108 so we cannot measure the exact date, but we can come close.

What are some other signs of the end times?

There will be wars and rumors of wars, nation will rise against nation, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in diverse places (Matthew 24:5-8). These are Jesus’ words so there cannot be any disagreement about these occurrences coming happening. It says, “these are the beginning of sorrows.” This refers to the labor pains that a woman feels when she first starts the labor process. If these are just the beginning of the pain that the world will have to endure…

The days will be like the days of Noah where everyone will be eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage…untill the rain comes. in this case until, “one will be taken the other left.” Be sure that you are one of the ones taken and not left.

How can I be sure that I will be one of the ones taken?

If you have accepted Christ into your heart as your Lord and Savior, then you have nothing to worry about no matter what happens. He has promised that, “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth” (Revelation 3:10 NKJV).

If you have not accepted Christ into your life as your Lord and Savior, then you can make that a reality! It is easy to do but hard to accept if you are not ready. To make Jesus Lord of your life pray and say, “Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, please forgive me for my sin. Thank You for dying on the cross in my place to pay the penalty for my sin. Please come into my heart, and my soul right now to be my Lord and Savior and give me the hope of eternal life. Help me to live my new found Christian life! Direct me to a good church that will help me know more of You and grow in this Christian life. In the holy and precious name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen!” The Bible says in Romans 10:9-10 “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
