The enemy dwells in the realm of God and His angels. We call this realm the Spiritual Realm. Can this realm interact with ours? Yes, it most certainly can. We cannot generally see this realm but there are many places in the Bible where it is obvious to individuals. Jacob on his way to Haran saw a ladder that reached to heaven with angels ascending and descending, and the LORD stood above it (Genesis 28:12). Just before Stephen was martyred, he saw “the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God” (Acts 7:56). This realm is not one place. It is not an alternate reality. It is another realm or dimension that is hidden from our eyes, but all around us. It is our universe, just in a way that we cannot sense it unless God opens our eyes (2 Kings 6:16-17). Angels can move into our realm and seem like human men (Genesis 18).
